What you'll be doing

The residential counselor is responsible for the provision of direct services which promote the clients ability to participate in appropriate community activities and independent living. Assist in the daily operation of the program. Additionally, the resident counselor will participate in the assessment of the clients rehabilitation needs and in the development, implementation and monitoring of the clients individual rehabilitation plan. Demonstrate an ability to develop a basic level of competency for providing services to clients with co-occurring disorders. Additional duties include crisis services, including intensive support and assistance. Provide follow along services to suspend or discharged clients. Driving and transporting clients are a responsibility of this position. Perform other job related duties as assigned or apparent.

What your background should be

The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working in a mental health and social service related field. Registered Nurse licensure with at least 1 year experience providing rehabilitative services is preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or general educational development is required and bachelor degree in related field is preferred.
