What you'll be doing

Give respiratory care (the treatment, management, diagnostic testing, control and care of persons with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system). Evaluate respiratory care given, to initiate CPR, to contact physicians in relation to care ordered, and perform all activities as assigned. Responsible for the proper documentation of all patient records and department logs. Responsible for keeping abreast of changes in the respiratory and health care field. Accountable for the assessment, planning implementation of care and evaluation of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

The incumbent should have experience in related field. Must have the ability to work with patients physical, motor / sensory adaptation, cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population being served, and meets standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age specific competency standards. Ability to obtain and maintain a state of Nevada board of medical examiners respiratory care practitioner license. Current AHA BLS certification required. ACLS required before end of introductory period, and ongoing thereafter. Pals required before end of introductory period, and ongoing thereafter.
