What you'll be doing

Reviews medication invoices and submits information to insurance providers following all established requirements including, but not limited to manipulation, analysis & upload of electronic data with high degree of accuracy and timeliness. Reconciles GIP invoices at LTC facilities and hospitals prior to billing for these services. Notifies senior billing coordinator of discrepancies. Develops and generates reports to validate, reconcile and ensure all staff services are included on claims. Conducts audit of billable and collectible items for palliative care claims prior to submission. Develops and prepares patient financial services analyses to define the financial impact. Analyzes, develops and generates reports that identify accruals required for delayed billing and subsequent claims denied due to delay in palliative care consultant insurance provider credentialing.

What your background should be

Advanced level experience in Excel and Access. 3-5 years experience in medical billing. 3-5 experience in analyzing and manipulating billing data. Superior time management and communication skills.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or similar field.
