What you'll be doing
- Reporting to the nursing director, this position utilizes the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift. Assures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Assesses staff need for the unit, collaborates with the staffing coordinator, nurse director, and administrative nursing supervisor to ensure patients needs are met. Ensures optimal flow and utilization of resources (including, but not limited to staff, equipment, and supplies) to meet patient care needs. Promotes patient satisfaction as a leader by demonstration of extraordinary service.
What your background should be
- 3 years clinical nursing experience. 2 years utilization management experience, preferably in managed care. Supervisory experience and/or demonstrated leadership skills preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communications skills. Ability to work effectively with a variety of customers including physicians, managers, providers, office staff, health plans and internal staff members. Strong computer skills for application implementation and monitoring as well as mentoring staff on these applications.

- BSN preferred
