What you'll be doing

Assume sales and account management role within the publishing company business, focusing on generating new business opportunities within the magazine, catalog, book, and retail market segments. Responsible for all aspects of the selling process, including prospecting, solution selling, customer interaction, closing and maintaining customer programs implemented. Meet with the publishing group business annual sales and gross profit goals as determined by the management. Continually improve alignment with customer requirements through communication and daily account interaction. Work with internal resources to develop contractual guidelines related to pricing, inventory, purchasing, service, and issue resolution. Responsible for making key decisions with publishing company management about strategy, focus, and implementation needs for account base. Grow the business profitability and identify ways to reduce expenses as a percentage of gross profit.

What your background should be

Successful related experience in territory sales or as a key account manager is required. Must have experience in managing major accounts. Excellent leadership skills and organizational skills are required. The ability to function in an environment that includes crucial deadlines and performance expertise is essential. Experience in project management and an understanding of distribution finance is essential. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills are essential. 7 years of functional sales, experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft office is preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

College degree or equivalent is required. Bachelor degree in business administration is preferred.
