Scheduling/Customer Service Representative

What you'll be doing

Work collaboratively with all areas to ensure accuracy and completeness of procedures. Schedule patients and maintain database of scheduled procedures. Maintain proficiency in both the hospital ADT system and the laboratory registration system. Keep current with insurance update and software changes in both systems. Receive and place orders for laboratory services. Obtain demographic information from patients or from the laboratory requisition. Enter accurate information into the appropriate company information systems. Complete all federal and regulatory forms required for the registration process, including obtaining signed consents and financial agreements. Order laboratory tests directly into the electronic medical record. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

One year of related experience or training required. Prefer experience in healthcare setting with exposure to patient registration or scheduling or insurance authorization processes. Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required. Medical terminology desired. Must provide certificate of successful completion of a phlebotomy course or phlebotomy certification within one year of hire date.

Required Schooling / Training

HS degree or GED is required. College degree is preferred.
