What you'll be doing
- A successful individual will be involved in studying macromolecular interaction with a specific emphasis on protein-protein interaction, including identification of novel protein complexes and validation of selective protein interactions using techniques that include co-immuoprecipitation, co-localization using imaging, knockout techniques and biophysical methods such as SPR. In addition to protein-protein interaction the individual will be actively involved in the identification and the study of other macromolecular interaction such as DNA-protein and RNA-protein interactions. The laboratory emphasizes a quantitative assessment of the macromolecular complex, with the aim of understanding the dynamic nature under both normal and disease conditions. The company primarily uses various affinity pull down strategies for the isolation of macromolecular complexes followed by identification of the components by mass spectrometry.
