What you'll be doing
- The organization is seeking a scientist to conduct small-scale purification of antibodies as part of a high-throughput antibody purification core group. Responsibilities will include operating automated protein production and liquid handling equipment, conducting high throughput, small-scale protein purification and analysis, managing protein inventories, and maintaining a database to support departmental needs for antibody production and characterization. The position also requires innovation in developing, optimizing, and expanding the antibody production process. The successful candidate will work closely with another scientist focusing on high-throughput mammalian cell transfixion and will be expected to become proficient at the expression process as well.
What your background should be
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial protein purification setting. Strong background in automation, protein purification, protein characterization, and development of high-throughput processes. Demonstrated skills in protein purification and analytical protein biochemistry. Significant experience with basic molecular biology and mammalian cell transfixion. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-motivated and adept at regularly delivering towards deadlines. Strong skills in troubleshooting. Strong skills in the use of computational tools for molecular biology, automation control, LIMS, and database management.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree.
