What you'll be doing

Prepare and file all correspondence reports, forms, memorandums, schedules and records including notes sent to parents; maintain all records and files pertaining to activity funds, budget activities, faculty and staff records (including daily teacher attendance log, substitute and teacher payroll and purchase orders); serve as building receptionist; serve as discipline clerk, filing and placing reports on computer; serve as meal specialist (work with cafeteria manager during school year reviewing and identifying free lunch applicants); serve as the campus records manager (work with the district records officer); maintain school calendar of events; maintain physical and computerized files including inventory of school and office supplies, mailing lists, student records, visitor logs and office communication; perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the principal may assign from time to time.

What your background should be

Proficient typing, word processing, file maintenance skills; effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases and do word processing; knowledge of basic accounting principles. May require certification levels, qualifications or eligibility requirements for being employed in the United States or the state of Texas.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED.
