Senior Applications Developer

What you'll be doing: The senior applications developer is responsible to evaluate systems needs of web development team to optimize business process and uptime. The employee will work with web application development team, system engineering team, and it management to maximize service delivery while balancing current support priorities and other in-process development projects. The candidate will be responsible for weblogic, iis, and apache configuration as well as assist developers in how to deploy applications and work through inter-system communication issues. S/he may code, review, test and debug programs in addition to coach and mentor other staff members. Incumbent will apply his/her good technical and functional knowledge. This position will provide third tier support, knowledge of business, sap, applications, web, and database servers, and knowledge of systems administration. Manage implementation of the application build process and provide specifications to system engineers and network administrators. Review code, educates development team on design patterns, and minimizes systems issues and design solutions to maximize security while exposing web applications. Maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming, and database technology. Provide work direction to less senior staff members. Ensure that program and system documentation created for all developed or modified systems.

What your background should be: A qualified candidate with windows administration, iis administration, weblogic administration experience preferred. S/he should be expertise in apache configuration, expertise in linux environment and should have familiarity with j2ee app server to include 5 years of experience in j2ee deployment. Excellent communications, writing, and editing skills needed to transfer information to individual involved in the development process.
