What you'll be doing
- The Biostatistician will perform management functions relating to the administrative and scientific activities of specific project work and team members. Responsibilities of this position include, Oversee statistical aspects in the design and analysis of clinical trials, including project management, statistical analysis, report preparation and advising other project statisticians. Function as Biostatistics Project Leader for multiple protocols, projects or NDA projects, including coordinating with other divisions and interacting with the client and regulatory agencies. Daily duties for research or pharmaceutical biostatisticians may include analyzing genetic data and disease occurrence. This information may be use in developing clinical trials to assess drug treatments. Academic and government biostatisticians may review data of populations exposed to environmental chemicals and conditions to understand the risks and effects. Analyze clinical or survey data using statistical approaches such as longitudinal analysis, mixed effect modeling, logistic regression analyses, and model building techniques. Prepare statistical data for inclusion in reports to data monitoring committees, federal regulatory agencies, managers, or clients.
What your background should be
- Candidates must be immediately eligible to work as W2 contractor for any employer in the US without restriction. An ideal candidate must have MS/MA degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field and a minimum of 4 years experience or Ph. D. and a minimum of 2 years experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge. Strong SAS programming skills. Ability to direct and promote teamwork in a multi-disciplinary team setting. Proven performance of required tasks as evidenced in outstanding performance in current tasks and documented record of accomplishment. Evidence of strong management skills, as shown through management of multiple projects and staff members. Demonstrated initiative and motivation, excellent written and verbal communications skills, good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities. Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
Required Schooling / Training
- MS/MA degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field and PhD is preferred.
