What you'll be doing
- The senior engineer role is responsible for managing the services that are commonly referred to as Hosting and Middleware. This role is also responsible for innovation to continuously enhance or improve existing policies, products and methods, associated with the application life cycle model. Direct monitoring and maintenance of the mail scanning software for virus detection , SMTP mail gateways, mail processing and message queue monitoring to ensure consistently available and responsive email performance. Develop a close working relationship with the applications team, architects, and other infrastructure teams to ensure consistent delivery of these services. Ability to manage administration access of internal and external sources to secure enterprise systems. Assist in the design of hosting solutions to meet business needs, while adhering to standards put forth by global hosting and enterprise architecture functions.
What your background should be
- 7-10 years of experience in working across and in a Global IT Service organization preferred. Strong project management skills, excellent communication and presentation skills required. Capability of dealing with complex, multi group interactions. Able to travel up to 25% if required (domestic and international).
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree required.
