What you'll be doing

Closely collaborate with Regional Marketing Lead (Latin America), Country Managers and Business Development management in support of identification, assessment and review of all new business initiatives. This will include a business assessment of the opportunity, reviewing financial modeling, challenging key assumptions and providing valued consultative support on negotiating strategy, contract review and deal design. Fully support the initiative through GEP BDC governance review and approval with primary responsibility for assuring that initiative has been appropriately reviewed prior to GEP BDC meeting. Directly manage select projects from initial meeting with third party, assessment of opportunity, lead negotiator with third party, Project Team Leader for internal due diligence, management of project through internal governance process, legal contract negotiations (in collaboration with legal), completion of all CP 105 requirements prior to contract execution and in some cases lead role on Alliance Management. Primary role in managing initiative through GEP BDC governance. Provides valued business input to Latin America management on all new business initiatives, renegotiations, out licensing, divestitures or alliances. Fully integrate role into Latin America business will all key constituents. Lead the negotiation of contract amendments and revisions to existing alliance partner relationships. Drive successful execution of a given transaction including identifying, tracking managing and resolving issues; proactively disseminating information to all stakeholders, identifying, managing and mitigating risk while maintaining greatest commercial value. Great endurance, drive and commitment are required to drive to completion. Present in succinct and compelling manner transaction opportunities (business cases) to senior management and project teams. Participate in appropriate conferences to develop business development network, identify/source potential products or technologies. Ability to work independently on fulfilling primary job responsibilities with limited guidance from Team Lead.

What your background should be

Minimum 15 plus years pharma industry experience in business development . Spanish required, Portuguese a plus. Knowledge of healthcare and pharma industry, with knowledge of Latin America markets a plus. Strong financial analysis skills with ability to prepare excel financial valuation models. Entrepreneurial mindset with change management experience. Willingness to travel (up to 30 percent of the time). Ability to work flexible hours based on project needs.

Required Schooling / Training

Masters, MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
