What you'll be doing
- Provide support and direction for area effort. Manage all aspects of assigned area of operation and program. Participate in strategic planning and facilitate actions on these plans for the assigned area. Provide technical logistic expertise on assigned area as well as store or retail expertise as needed. Reduce cost and improve services to store by taking control of and managing specific assigned area of logistic management. Prepare project design and timeline. Select, develop, and motivate assigned staff. Negotiate transportation costs for inbound and outbound freight.
What your background should be
- Six or more years of distribution operational experience. 9 to 12 years of experience is preferred. Experience in the logistics field is preferred. Management experience is preferred. Require highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situation.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma or GED.
