What you'll be doing

Under close supervision, provides entry-level clerical support for assigned department or division through office organization, records maintenance, reception, scheduling and general assistance. Perform business office administration and support relevant and specific to the department assigned. Greet and assist customers; answer phones and directs calls. Make travel arrangements for department staff in accordance with company policy and prudent business practice. Set appointments, arranges conference rooms and ensures room, supplies and documents are prepared for meetings. Request information from and provide information to other departments and outside sources. Perform general filing and file retrieval to include logs, distributes and archives reports. Sort and deliver mail; send, receive and distribute faxes. Make copies and scans and files electronic documents. Maintain, order and stock office supplies. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

What your background should be

Minimum two years of general office experience is required. Required skills knowledge of customer service concepts and practices. Knowledge of multi-line telephone systems operation. Knowledge of basic purchasing processes. Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations. Knowledge of filing procedures. Skill in operating office equipment. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in maintaining and updating office and administrator schedules. Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. Skill in operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
