What you'll be doing
- Develops and executes category profit and loss (P&L) for complex merchandise categories. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for merchandise planning. Ensures business needs are being met. Leads the continuous development of financial strategies and key event plans for complex merchandise categories. Maintains and executes financial plans for complex merchandise categories. Partners with replenishment to execute and maintain inventory plans. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates.
What your background should be
- 1 year experience in retail, financial planning, category management, buying, replenishment, operations or related field or 3 years experience in retail, financial planning, category management, buying, replenishment, operations or related field. 1 year experience leading a cross-functional team. 3 years experience using basic functionality of Microsoft Office (for example, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 3 years experience with retail math (for example, calculate margin, inventory turn, average price).
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor s degree in business, finance, accounting, retail management, economics or related field.
