What you'll be doing
- Provides maintenance, enhancement and end user support for SQL server, SAS GRID and Oracle data marts that provide information on GWRS account, client, relationship and sales metric. Develops start to finish understanding of data flow impacting GWRS relationship analysis, compensation and flow reporting. Supports weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly production reporting process in conjunction with on and offshore resource. Builds partnership with GWIM finance, technology and line of business associate through collaboration on special project. Manages a function or area within the technology environment. Manages other manager or senior single contributor. May be responsible for hiring, termination and performance management. Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of multiple system or application including their ongoing service delivery or operation. Responsible for multiple technology project across multiple team or a smaller number of major complex project if a smaller area of the technology development function. Manages budget, monitors progress and adjusts resource and priorities accordingly. Responsible for staffing, performance management and compensation decision making. Provides input into policy issue.
What your background should be
- Typically requires a minimum of 7-10 years of applicable programming experience. 5+ years financial services experience. Must have excellent software design and documentation skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment. Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, Visio, Acrobat). Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects. Self starter with willingness or ability to work independently. Strong sense of accountability. Advance MS Office VBA programming, focusing on Excel. Strong database scripting skills including (TSQL, PLSQL, DB2). Strong SAS programming skills. Reporting tools experience using (MicroStrategy, Cognos, SSRS, Excel, SAS GRID). Strong Visual Studio 2008 plus with TFS experience. Experience with Toad (Oracle, DB2, SQL). Experience with Mainframe zOS (TSO, Bridge, etc.). Strong project management skills. Experience with FTP tools (WinSCP, Tectia, etc.).
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience.
