What you'll be doing

Drives the design of products from initial concept through final implementation, collaborating and communicating effectively with a multi-disciplinary team (business, PM, UX, dev, QA). Guides clients & stakeholders through key design engagements; communicates, specifies and describes designs to developers, testers, PMs, senior leadership and other designers without ambiguity and within deadlines. Creates user interaction & interface deliverables including sketches, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, user stories, visual designs & front end code. Researches and recommends appropriate interactive technologies. Plans and executes iterative user research and analysis projects including but not limited to interviews, concept testing, usability testing and heuristic evaluations. Serves as an expert consultant during the detailed design phase by reviewing interaction design, copy and visual design for usability best practices. Develops and documents detailed information architecture and interaction designs for highly interactive interfaces to support business strategy, marketing strategy, and desired user behaviors. Develops UX effort estimates and timeliness for project plans and roadmaps. Develops and evolves UX standards & best practices through researching current advances in interaction design and development. Effectively balances optimal UX design with user needs, speed-to-market considerations, and business/technology constraints. Assists IT with front-end development trouble-shooting when necessary. Documents and maintains interactive experience reference library. Records user observations to incorporate user feedback into requirements analysis and interaction design validation/usability testing.

What your background should be

5-10 Years Experience. Five or more years experience in multi-device UX design, interface design, and/or front end development for software, web applications, or websites. Expert command of user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies across multiple platforms. Passion for design and strong command of visual design capabilities, including composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography and color. Understanding of mobile UI trends and experience delivering performant, responsive and progressively enhanced websites optimized for multiple devices and browsers.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in human centered design, interaction design or related field.
