What you'll be doing

Operate highly complex, automated medical device assembly and manufacturing equipment and perform routine machine serving (e.g., lubrication, loading of components and materials, changing rolls of packaging material, etc.) so as to ensure efficient production of medical device products in accordance with FDA and ISO standards. Monitor the performance of the manufacturing equipment and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality, reduce waste and to prevent mechanical break-downs. Clean, service, set-up, change-over and perform line clearance, jam clearing and other minor, routine machine servicing and maintenance. Work with maintenance support associates to minimize machine down-time. Consistently complete production-related documentation accurately and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and cGMPs. Ensure that components, work in progress and raw materials are supplied so as to ensure continuous production. Train other production associates in clean room operations, machine operation and servicing. Clean and maintain assigned equipment and work area to set standards.

What your background should be

1 year machine operating or assembly experience required. A minimum of 2 years of on-the-job training and experience as a machine operator is required. Must understand and be able to apply all rules related to machine operation and servicing. Must be able to operate and service assigned production equipment. Must be able to stand to operate equipment and perform quality tests up to 55% of the day. Be comfortable wearing safely gowning including face mask.

Required Schooling / Training

A high school diploma or GED. is required; trade school education is preferred.
