What you'll be doing

The responsible person will lead the software development team in coding, testing, debugging, implementing and documenting highly complex programs, and developing complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Analyze, design and program complex projects and assist lower level technical staff. This will include coordinating activities on multiple staff projects, designing testing plans, assuring quality control and providing technical leadership to project teams. Lead systems and program design to meet highly complex business needs, preparation of detailed specifications from which programs are developed and creation of appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation. Analyze existing systems, programs and time requirements. Prepare time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and providing recommendations to project managers. Support project personnel in resolving complex program problems. Work with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provide technical advice on complex programming. Serve as technical project lead, providing leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.Identify, track and resolve issues, recommend changes and provide supporting documentation. Develop work plans and work estimates for large scope projects. Provide consulting services in a technical and/or managerial capacity to senior management and technical staff. May represent company in presentations or conferences involving customers, contractors, suppliers and competitors. Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews. Provide recommendations and revisions to programs and documents.

What your background should be

Must have at a minimum 15 years overall experience. Minimum eight years experience in managing and overseeing large scaled projects comprised of sub projects and distinct deliverables with six years experience in managing and overseeing large scaled projects comprised of sub projects and distinct deliverables. Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred.
