What you'll be doing
- Control all network impacting events; utilization of operational support systems to acknowledge network events and to track and create work requests for supplier organizations; timely resolution of any network impacting event. Submit major service interruptions into the Matrix4 reporting system per the documented guidelines. Provide tier l support to all network operations field personnel. Create and manage of high risk events and change control activities; disaster recovery and emergency preparedness. Maintain activities to prevent or prohibit future instances of network failure. Manage and control the restoration of network impairments and assist in the emergency restoration of failed systems and facilities.
What your background should be
- 5-7 years experience required. Strong working knowledge or subject matter expects (SME) in 3 (or more) of these TDM switching technologies: GTD-5, DMS 10, DMS 100, 5ESS, DCO, SS7/ISCP/AIN. Intermediate MS office skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate degree required in telecommunications or related field.
