What you'll be doing

Execute incident and change management for complex PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware. Assist in problem management for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware. Provide the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for complex technical incidents in order to ensure satisfaction. Identify trends relating to systems problems for the company. Provide prevention suggestions to management. Consult with network services, desktop/systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core systems problems. Provide ongoing technical training to customers on company technologies, infrastructure, hardware, and software applications; responsible for preparing operations, procedures, and methods documentation. Perform all other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Four years of experience in a related field. Customer service experience is preferred. Certification in Microsoft or an equivalent designation is preferred. Extensive and proven knowledge of mainframe, microcomputer and/or network technologies and applications. Must have in-depth knowledge of the customer business and product environment. Must have a thorough understanding of business systems, data processing, and customer service concepts and practices.

Required Schooling / Training

Undergraduate studies in computer science management information systems.
