What you'll be doing
- Provide high level financial support by evaluating financial results of operational decisions and initiatives and providing insight, implications, and recommendations to senior management. Proactively conduct analysis on operational effectiveness and cost containment opportunities. Responsible for managing a budget, tracking and analyzing actual results, and making recommendations for process improvements. Provide leadership on development of complex analytical, budgeting and forecasting models. Actively lead in the development of financial analysis on the cost impact of various departmental activities and communicating impact to relevant stakeholders. Lead special projects as required. Responsible for the capital planning process, budget, forecast, strategic plan, and post-mortems for the organization. This role is responsible for collaborating across all business units and functional areas at all levels (from associates to executives) to build robust business cases which support capital requests. These business cases support capital committee decision-making (CEO, CFO, CAO, Treasurer, General Counsel). In advance of capital committee meetings, the senior manager, capital planning must conduct reviews with senior finance leadership (CFO, CAO, treasurer the position must influence stakeholders to achieve CFO strategic objectives, such as maintaining a specified level of free cash.
What your background should be
- Minimum 8 years of experience in finance and/or accounting; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.SAP required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus. Written and verbal communication skills. Leadership, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to communicate with others to research and resolve issues.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance. MBA preferred.
