What you'll be doing
- Helps determine both technical and business goals in consultation with top management and make detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals. Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates. Solves complex technical problems by providing leadership for developing project plans and their implementation. Foresees difficulties and reacts to communicate and avoid misunderstanding. Serves as primary interface for internal and external customers. Point of contact for subcontractors, providing leadership and direction to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints. Determine project scope of work, project performance objectives, and success and acceptance criteria. Assign work and follow-up as project demands.
What your background should be
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience as a project manager on design and engineering, design-build, construction, engineer procure construct (EPC) projects with a concentration in the industrial sector preferred. Certification as a project management professional (PMP) by the project management institute (PMI) or equivalent.
Required Schooling / Training
- Four years degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, construction management or project management.
