What you'll be doing
- Develop, review and modify of engineering products in support of mechanisms component development; responsible for concepts and detail design of single parts and assemblies with a focus on design optimization and ease of manufacturing. Generate engineering designs and drawings per industry standards. Ensure completed drawings are clear, complete, and conform to standards, processes, specifications, and reviews accuracy of tolerance calculations and dimensioning. Identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design.
What your background should be
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience. Aerospace or mechanical engineering background is required. Mechanical design, material selection, technical writing, geometric dimensioning & tolerance working knowledge & tolerance stack-up analysis. Mathcad, product development and manufacturing experience highly desired.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
