What you'll be doing

Preparation and review of GAAP financial statement and related financial statement. Preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC forms (form 10Q/10K, form NSAR, Form 24F-2 and XBRL), preparation of GAAP and STAT account reconciliations for PASS sign-off process. Support all financial reporting audits, including SOX and MAR work, partnering with PWC, internal audit and risk management. Assist in the compilation and review of schedules/footnotes for statutory submissions. Develop and support internal control standards to ensure compliance with enterprise accounting policies and procedures. Support the ongoing effort to improve and enhance the financial reporting processes and control environment. Assist in other internal and external deliverables and special projects as needed. Assist in special projects such as automation, life and annuity product and fund changes, and new regulatory requirements, etc. Responsible for maintenance of knowledge base procedures. Development and oversight of at least one staff.

What your background should be

Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting and reporting. Separate Account and SEC reporting knowledge a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with a close attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Working knowledge of the Oracle Financial applications including journal entry preparation, brief process, reporting, etc. Strong PC skills including Excel and Word. Self-motivated and proactive. Supervisory background.
