What you'll be doing

Candidate will provide engineering support for various special processes and technical issues during repair of the PT6, JT15D, PW300 and PW500 series engines and components. This includes resolving technical service issues, monitoring trends in engine hardware reliability and engine performance, providing technical substantiation and implementation of cost reduction initiatives, disposition of nonconforming material, initiating repairs and inspection criteria to extend hardware service life, and managing technical projects. Document technical data generated to substantiate assigned projects, consistent with product and regulatory requirements. Analyze problems or difficulties and recommend/execute actions to taken. Provide technical assistance to quality, operations, new manufacturing and other organizations and customers. Make recommendations for product requirements or repair process improvements including substantiating tests and analyses. Take new technologies applicable to aircraft engine repair processes or other aftermarket processes and introduce them into a production environment. Perform assignments broad in nature requiring substantial ingenuity and originality based on sound engineering principles. Interact with many support groups and departments to meet goals. Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives. Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical, project and program reviews. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, established policies and procedure, ISO 9001, engine manual and customer requirements. Perform administrative functions. Control quality, cost, processes and material while ensuring customer satisfaction.

What your background should be

This position required an extensive and demonstrable experience in data analysis, problem solving and solution implementation. Proven leadership skills exercised at all levels individual, team, organization. Experience in continuous improvement methodology (ACE/Lean/Kaizen). Strong understanding of and utilization of EH&S and quality management systems and processes. Strong project management experience; able to deliver results on time and under budget. Strong technical customer relations skills. Able to convey ideas to multiple disciplines or multiple levels of the organization. Experience with P&WC engine models (PT6, JT15D, PW300, and PW500) preferred. Hands on leader in the direction, training, mentoring and development of individuals and teams. Experience in supervision/management in an aerospace aftermarket service environment preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

4 years Bachelor of Science degree. Aerospace Engineering degree, Mechanical Engineering degree or Industrial Engineering degree will be preferred
