What you'll be doing

Provision and troubleshoot metro Ethernet, dedicated access, cell back haul and WiFi networks. Identify and implement network security best practices to implement and troubleshoot secure networks. Develop formal and professional project plans for very high complexity projects, including multi-site implementations, network augments or modifications, or multiple step troubleshooting efforts. Develop ideas that drive operational improvements and improvements in network performance. Partner with product development to design and implement new services and offers. Execute on project plans by coordinating teammates and routinely provide status updates on project to management. Interface with sales executives and customers to gain a firsthand knowledge of product applications and customer needs. Remain knowledgeable about various vendor products and use cases. Communicate information that is obtained through customer interactions to sales team to trigger opportunities. Communicate as a networking expert with customers, teammates, and industry peers.

What your background should be

Employee must be able to work in the maintenance window hours on a regular basis if needed. Applicant must have the ability to lift equipment weighing 65 pounds, sit for long periods of time in front of a computer as well as the ability to type and read on a computer. 5 to 8 years of related experience required.5 to 7 years experience in network operations. CCNP or comparable certification strongly preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer management information systems or equivalent preferred.
