What you'll be doing
- Monitors and analyzes major external trends facing the hospital and facilitates the development of perspectives to inform various planning efforts. Develops strategy office plan for streaming new information to the organization. Leads and conducts major analysis for the strategy office. Works closely with a range of internal customers, including strategy office and senior executives, sharing market and other data insights.Identifies and monitors major external trends (e.g., industry, regulatory, competitive) facing the hospital and the healthcare industry. Identifies key external sources of information that the hospital should be monitoring/acquiring. Acts as a subject matter expert in current healthcare trends, business impact of major regulatory changes and major changes in local competitive landscape. Conducts key analysis in support of various planning efforts and projects across the enterprise. Conducts comprehensive analysis incorporating a diverse range of sources to arrive at a targeted, concise and informative business case report. Conducts analysis of major trends, e.g., impact of reform, shifts in payer coverage, major workforce trends, industry overall consolidation, development of accountable care organizations and other value-based care organizations, major trends in key economic drivers. Will work with enterprise communications and marketing to develop the strategy. Performs other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- A minimum of eight years of experience in strategic planning, market research or another relevant position. A master degree may offset 4 years of experience. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; solid business instincts. Proven skills in guiding leadership thinking on critical projects and the ability to take an ownership of projects with competing deadlines. Critical thinking/problem-solving, change leadership mindset, understanding of healthcare industry, senior relationship and presentation skills, ability to work stand alone, creativity.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in health care administration, business administration or related field required. Master degree highly preferred.
