What you'll be doing
- The suitability representative is responsible for the analysis of new business and in force transactions to ensure that comply with corporate suitability standards and then providing a recommendation for approval or declination to a team principal. Provide outstanding customer service and support to the field by addressing suitability related inquiries that are received through the team call queue. Review in force and new business transactions that pend for suitability review using systems such as the workbench, rpay, cyberlife and eboss. Provide recommendations to a principal as to whether each transaction should be approved or declined, in accordance with corporate suitability standards. Conduct outreach to the agents to inform them of transactions which pend for review, explain the nature of the pend in question, and procure updated information which may be material to review process. Engage manager and senior members of the team for guidance on unusual cases or those requiring escalation. Maintain strong working knowledge of the administrative systems, products and services. Compose accurate client correspondence confirming any investor profile changes made as a result of agent outreach.
What your background should be
- The candidate should have some previous work experience with financial services. An active finra series 6 or 7 license required. Understanding of insurance company and brokerage operations preferred. Fundamental knowledge of various industry products (mutual funds, securities, options, and fixed income products) preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in liberal arts, economics or business preferred.
