What you'll be doing

Student staff supervisor work alongside supervisee summer staff completing duties such as setting up or taking down from camps, conferences and groups. The candidate also perform other duties like cleaning rooms or apartments from start of summer to end of summer, light gardening, some maintenance, some grounds work, painting and general assistance to residential life. The ideal candidate help direct the day to day activities of summer staff in conjunction with full-time residential life staff. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

What your background should be

Must be a current or incoming client companies student for the 2015-2016 academic year. Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, minor maintenance, painting or repairs. Previous experience working independently yet on a team. Previous experience in leading a team, supervising others and working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lead teams, give direction to peers and work through conflict with others. Exceptional work ethic & timeliness commitment to be prompt and work 30-40 hours per week. Willingness to shift work times as necessary on weekdays, nights and weekends. Ability to follow detail instructions and work independently from supervisor. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner required. Honesty, appropriateness and professionalism. Ability to deal with the public; particularly housing guests and handle emergency situations. Must attend and participate in all required trainings. Ability to remain calm, work quickly and efficient.
