What you'll be doing
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of child life specialists, volunteers and interns. Provides assessment and evaluation of neonate through adolescent patients. Develops individualized treatment plans to promote psychosocial, emotional, physical, and developmental growth of patients while minimizing the trauma of hospitalization and illness. Prepares children for medical experiences with coping strategies, communicating with members of the health care team.
What your background should be
- Four years of related child life experience. Evidence of leadership. Certified as a child specialist.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree
