What you'll be doing

Actively demonstrates the organizations mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values. Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information. Supervises and directs supply chain colleagues in the routine day-to-day operations of inventory control, distribution (supplies, linen) and receiving. Manages the ordering/requesting of supplies, linens, equipment and office supplies for department. Guides team in resolving receiving issues, back orders, returns, packing slip discrepancies and delivery/issue problems. Manages and monitors daily stockless and non-stock replenishment orders to ensure completeness and accuracy. Ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained and adjusted as patient population and demands trends. Responsible for accurate, on-going measurement, reporting and execution of inventory management initiatives. Coordinates and ensures end-of-month and yearly physical inventory are completed accurately as needed. Works with finance staff to meet audit requirements. Responsible for enhancing an appropriate professional work atmosphere within the department.

What your background should be

Minimum three years of experience in a hospital with supervisory experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Understanding of process excellence (LEAN, Six Sigma, et al) preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task. Excellent customer service orientation skills.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor's degree.
