What you'll be doing

The supervisor oversees the acceptance of risks and must have extensive knowledge of qualifying risks. The supervisor interacts externally with other contact centers and agents. Secures customer referrals and offers additional specialty product lines. Consistently evaluates inquiries to provide feedback and coaching to employees regarding performance and regulatory compliance. Supervise assigned multi-line personnel by developing staff performance and skills via leadership, coaching, motivation and recognition. Identify process and performance deficiencies and recommend courses of action to improve sales and resolve operations problems for the assigned unit. Implement corrective action as directed. Supervise staff using multiple systems to qualify risk and insure risk is placed with proper carrier. Investigate and resolve escalated customer issues. Interpret and communicate procedural and regulatory changes to assigned staff. Compile periodic and ad hoc reports and analyses as required. Coordinate unit activities with other units as required meeting common objectives. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Personal lines license is a condition of this position and will be required (training provided). Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Current P & C insurance license helpful (will be required). Three years in personal lines sales, preferably in a call center environment, or equivalent experience in retail sales. Applicant requires having knowledge of direct sales methods and procedures, leadership and supervisory skills including mentoring/coaching skills, strong PC and software skills and strong analytical and statistical skills.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma (required). Some college level courses or equivalent work experience (required). Four year degree preferred.
