What you'll be doing

The incumbent will supervise shift operations of technologists which includes off shift and on-call staff seven days a week. The incumbent will administer and supervise the activities of personnel in the areas of magnetic resonance, ultrasound, computed tomography and vascular and interventional radiology sections. Supervise the planning, organizing, and assignments of daily workload. Maintain the flow of patients through these sections in such a manner as to minimize patient delay and increase efficiency in the utilization of x-ray equipment. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining high quality in radiographs produced by the radiologic technologists. Reject unsatisfactory work and provides a solution to the technologists so that they can repeat the work satisfactorily. Satisfactory performance is evidenced by no more than two complaints per grading period about work quality or discipline issues which are not addressed within one week of learning of the complaint. Report directly to the chief technologist. Assignments are made in the form of work schedules and verbal instructions. On most assignments, the supervisory technologist handles all problems of deviation. Work is evaluated on a spot check basis for achievement of objectives. Incumbent will display a cooperative attitude and will effectively work together to implement the organizations mission and goals.

What your background should be

Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American registry of radiologic technology (ARRT). Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months duration in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate, accredited by the joint review committee on education in radiologic technology (JRCERT), and certification by the American registry of radiologic technologists (ARRT) in radiology. English language proficiency. Diagnostic radiologic technologists must be proficient in spoken and written English grade determination.
