What you'll be doing

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate operational needs. Performs other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Minimum seven (7) years of systems administration experience with the combined specific network operating system, hardware and software experience to be supported is required. Experience in PERL and shell scripting languages. Understanding of analytic needs and requirements. Working knowledge of SQL.

Required Schooling / Training

BA degree.
