What you'll be doing
- The organization is currently looking for a system designer. System designer measure system locations, complete estimates of solar exposure, and perform shade analyses of system locations. Design will be completed through a combination of field work and computer modelling. This job requires local travel and getting on roof tops. Candidate must not be afraid of heights as well as visiting system locations, taking roof top measurements, solar trajectory, shading and learning to use solar equipment. Extensive and ongoing training will be provided by the company. System designer will work primarily throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Once trained, system designer will able to work remotely.
What your background should be
- The candidate should have Google Sketchup experience, or related drafting or 3D modelling applications. Excellent computer skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Efficient time management; must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate or bachelor's degree.
