What you'll be doing
- In this position, the person will answer to incoming incidents and provide incident management for the Communications and Computing Services (C&CS) in 24/7 data center environment, monitoring New York and global systems. Systems Administrator will be chargeable for providing first line trouble shooting and tier one server support which includes diagnosing and repairing hardware, recommending solutions, and checking that problems have been corrected and maintain solutions schema documentation. It is the duty of the Systems Administrator to facilitate smooth operation of hardware and software on computing systems in help of University computing systems; assisting installation, testing, maintenance, upgrades and administration of operating system and application software; monitoring systems for performance and security; supporting with implementation and execution of system policies to adhere with departmental policies and standards in conjunction with tier two level support from Systems Administrators.

Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor's degree
