Systems Administrator

What you'll be doing: Provide project update to management on a weekly basis. Work effectively alone or as a member of a team, work directly with peer, user and manager. Communicate technical information effectively to technical and non technical people, this include prepare informal technical documentation. Participate in establish and implement security policy and practice applicable to and appropriate for various system. Participate in establish and implement backup and recovery policy applicable to and appropriate for various system and system hardware and software. Participate in establish and implement appropriate disaster recovery and business resumption plan, practice and procedure for system. Observe and enforce company and departmental policy and practice. Analyze issue related system and network, including related software, manage key resource to ensure availability of service, monitor the utilization of system, tune the appropriate system as needed, make recommendation as appropriate. Oversee the recovery of system when necessary. Perform task as directed by management.

What your background should be: Career orientation towards information technologies, particularly systems technologies. Ability and desire to acquire advanced technical training. Experience in hardware, networking and software support, with a strong technical background. Working knowledge of Microsoft windows workstation operating systems and PC based application software. Working knowledge of various operating systems and software including Microsoft windows 2000/3/8 server, Linux and Unix. Microsoft certification in windows 2003/2008 server. Partial certification towards MSCE or other certification program. Experience with server based email, LDAP or SQL database systems. Experience with various scripting languages. Experience with NAS/SAN architectures. Experience with SOX, PCI and SAS 70 compliancy acts. Knowledge of and broad exposure to, network and communications technologies as used in LAN, WAN and internet environments. This includes knowledge of the TCP/IP suite of protocols and experience diagnosing problems with application layer services including Telnet/TN3270, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, and other custom services.
