What you'll be doing
- Systems Engineer will develop intricate scripts and script components. Construct software packages for desktop installation. Develop and document processes and procedures for maintenance and implementation of enterprise desktop. Test and integrate software and hardware solutions as prototype workstations. Identify defects and errors and recommend solutions for identified problems. Troubleshoot fairly complex issues using Microsoft products. Able to create complex scripts in support of desktop environment using one of the following: Javascript, Perl, PowerShell, VBScript etc. Must be familiar with WMI and able to create scripts using WMI.
What your background should be
- Extensive knowledge of scripting languages, tools and resources. Familiarity of and ability to create internal tools utilizing compiled languages such as VB, VB.NET or C#. Advanced knowledge of Windows OS such as NT4, 2K and XP. 8 years of related experience along with a current, active, IT related certification. Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in IT or IT related industry with 4 years of similar work experience or an Associates degree with 6 years of related experience or in lieu of a degree.
