What you'll be doing

Responsible for support the engineering team through successful execution of several development and production program in the propulsion power generation engineering department. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system. Perform at all level of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirement into total system solution that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraint. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade study, requirement allocation and interface definition study to translate customer requirement into hardware and software specification. Responsible for execute all system engineering work scope to meet program requirement and objective within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraint. Perform schedule, forecast and cost report and analysis on assigned program. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

3 or more years engineering experience for naval, military and/or related defense systems. Experience in using microsoft ofice applications; project, Access, Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Familiar with integrated project team, engineering technical process, earned value and risk management principles. U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain a DOD secret clearance. Demonstrates sound decision making and good judgment. Must have strong commitment, collaborative approach and heightened sense of process. Must be highly motivated, self directed, excellent interpersonal communication skills to interface well with business units and customers and be able to work in a team environment. Strong working knowledge of SAP and configuration management tools is a plus.

Required Schooling / Training

BS in mechanical/systems engineering or related technical discipline.
