What you'll be doing

Work closely and collaboratively with school leadership and teacher on digital learning integration and deployment of mobile devices. Serve as direct support for moving the district to an integrated digital learning district utilizing mobile devices in every classroom and in curriculum when appropriate. Help develop agendas, long term goals and lead meetings on key aspects of the instructional technology plan. Collaborate with and mentor digital learning pilot teacher and act representative. Provide support and further the integration of digital learning with teacher at assigned buildings via a coaching model. Provide presentations to staff, students and the community on a variety of instructional technology related topics. Assist the director of instructional technology on the development and implementation of instructional technology planning and professional development at the building and district level. Support technology grants as well as department projects and district staff development. Develop models of instruction using best practices that integrate technology in a digital learning model based upon substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition. Support and train on various district software systems such as canvas, IOS apps, etc. Provide instructional support and digital learning integration by focusing on best practices and strategies determined through research, practice and demonstration. Assist with data gathering and district wide surveys, which provide data to drive decision making on support, professional development and training. Assist the team with large instructional technology projects such as digital learning pilot teachers, summer institute planning and training, etc. Assist with the organization and operation of the districts technology fair. Network with other instructional technology to stay current on researched best practices and integration of mobile devices in a 1:1 environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

At least five years classroom experience with exceptional evaluations. May be required to deal with distraught students or parents or staff; may be exposed to infectious diseases. Deemed highly qualified in content area under NCLB regulations.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
