What you'll be doing
- The position is responsible for gathering requirements, architecting designs (and creating specifications) and then developing or managing the development of approved deliverables. It requires performing as primary business analyst for supply chain management. Architecting technical designs for fleet maintenance and supply chain. Supporting business intelligence (BI) as functional analyst for fleet maintenance, procurement, inventory, financial, and HCM dashboards/reporting (as adopted). Designing, developing, and testing enterprise application extensions and interfaces; writing maintainable code which effectively and efficiently implements business requirements. Participating in the development and enhancement of existing and new NEC core business systems; maintaining software through review and modification of existing code. Integrating offshore development into software development cycle. Taking ownership of problems and dealing with them effectively to ensure prompt resolution. Serving as a liaison with staff to analyze and debug system failures. Participating in testing of newly developed software components. Developing and/or maintaining operational documentation for new programs as well as modifications to existing programs. Enforcing and adhering to departmental standards and policies.
What your background should be
- Five (or more) years of experience with core business and technical areas of oracle, R12, and e-business suite is preferred. Strong knowledge of oracle EBS iProcurement, procure to pay, inventory, and enterprise asset management processes. Working knowledge of oracle EBS financials, order to cash, self-service, and HCM functionality is expected. In depth knowledge of seeded oracle applications organization and underlying data structures. Experience with source code management system(s) and change management process. Strong interpretative skills to understand and relate design requirements. Good root cause analysis skill is required. Applicants must have proven analytical and problem solving skills related to the setup, design, development, and deployment of mission critical business and software systems.
Required Schooling / Training
- Applicant must have bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or related field; or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
