What you'll be doing

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the document quality review process ensuring successful completion of the document review and approval cycle. The applicant will proofread, create, review, write, and/or edit technical documents such as test reports, test plans, document templates, technical procedures, user manuals, procedures, and related technical publications. Create, maintain, and improve user (functional) and technical documentation and work closely with document authors to ensure accuracy. Organize and maintain quality records and perform other assigned tasks related to the documentation quality assurance program. S/he will be responsible for administering, supporting, and enhancing the customer RM program. This includes the long-term preservation, retention, retrieval, disposition and maintenance of all electronic records created in support of the customer mission. The successful candidate will help to establish processes and standards to support a successful RM program.

What your background should be

3+ years of experience as a technical editor/writer. 3+ years of experience working with and creating document templates, reviewing and editing technical documents, checklists, procedures, etc. Advanced skills using 2010 MS office products (primarily MS word). Ability to complete work accurately, on time and with limited direction. Ability to multitask and communicate schedule and progress on assigned tasks. Microsoft office specialist (MOS) certification.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelors degree in english, journalism, communications, or related field.
