What you'll be doing
- Works from computer driven, written, and verbal requests. Works with engineers and technicians to provide the most appropriate solutions. Evaluates and resolves problems through troubleshooting and applying known technical and six sigma methodologies Works in a team environment with limited supervision while in an extreme engineering environment where a high degree of professionalism, adherence to company policy, procedures & behaviors and attention to detail is a daily occurrence. Interaction with all levels and disciplines of engineering, management, and customers is to be a normal occurrence. Ensures safety and correctness of work to provide customer satisfaction. Understanding of electronic and mechanical instrumentation. Understanding of digital data acquisition systems. Understanding of digital signal processing. Self-motivated with the ability to work in ambiguous situations. Demonstrate effective communication and documentation of work. Maintain a safe work environment; compliance with safety rules and guidelines. Willingness to travel, work different shifts with minimal notification and overtime if requested.
What your background should be
- 4 years of related military experience will be considered. 6 Months of related aerospace data acquisition experience. 6 Months of calibration experience. Familiar with various types of data acquisition equipment such as: strip chart recorders, X-Y recorders, computer based digital data acquisition systems, signal analysis systems and applicable signal conditioning. Experience with fabrication, modification and repairs of instrumentation cabling. Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment failures in the field. Experience with computer systems; MS Windows, Linux, UNIX, MS Office, Excel, Word. Ability to maneuver and handle large objects up to 35 lbs. Team player, self-starter, ability to work independently, customer focused and flexible. Able to cope effectively with several tasks having concurrent schedules. Ability to exercise good judgment in regards to tradeoffs without compromising safety.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associates degree in electronics or related discipline; In lieu of a formal education.
