Telecom Engineer

What you'll be doing: Detailed equipment engineering for FiOS, video digital media service (VDMS), data center, ip network (public & private), converged packet access (CPA), and special customer data network. Detailed engineering will be specific installation instruction (I-Spec) including equipment configuration, card and port assignment, power requirement, cable running list, site information, floor space, rack placement, and bill of material (BOM) to be used by the install/test, operation, and provisioning team. Timely creation of I-Spec; ordering equipment; updating engineering database; managing multiple project; weekly reporting; coordination with planning, project management and operation; working with installation and test team to obtain pre-engineering information; and provide engineering support.

What your background should be: Applicant must have 5-7 year experience with focus in the area of telecom/video engineering, detail design, and network implementation preferred. Applicant should have excellent verbal, written, and inter-organizational communication skill essential to the performance of duty. Excellent PC and software application skill, including windows and ms office. Solid understanding of 10/100/1000 MB/s ethernet and data/IP network.
