What you'll be doing

Supervise visitor center team when tourism manager is not in the building. Manage scheduling. Train new associates. Manage convention group business, including solicitation, follow-up and shipment of collateral. Distribution of the 10% savings coupon and accountable for visitor tracking and reporting. Provide in-store direction about products, guest needs and sales. Attend monthly concierge/CVB partner events. Distribute savings pass in person to key area hotels. Schedule and conduct group tours. Develop new and maintain existing hotel and tour operator partnerships. Manage inventory of visitor collateral and office supplies for visitor center. Assist with group program business through solicitation of groups and operational support. Disseminate information to store-line associates regarding visitor promotions. Assist with visitor-related in-store events and other special services areas as needed. Assist with visitor-related services outside of store as needed.

What your background should be

Prior experience in the travel/hospitality industry preferred, but not essential. Previous sales, supervisory and administrative experience desirable, combined with the ability to think creatively and inspire others to achieve high standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written essential, including the ability to handle sensitive issues. Knowledge of a second language helpful.
