What you'll be doing

This position will report directly to the editor in chief as part of the editorial team. Offer critical news and feature coverage of toys related to games, movies, comics and other properties of interest to the company audience. Build relationships with toy manufacturers and retailers to obtain advance access to news and products. Produce unboxing videos for toys and relevant culture content of interest to the company audience. Find and write culture news around the topics of science and technology, archaeology and history, maintain a culture content calendar and provide support and planning for events, such as E3, ComicCon and apple announcements. Hold regular meetings with staff and management to advice on the direction and best practices for toy and culture content. Represent company, industry and community events.

What your background should be

Experience creating a variety of compelling content types, meeting regular daily deadlines and managing relationships with external partners. Experience analyzing and debating pop culture and are able to be objective about the things. Wide range of entertainment tastes, both in terms of platforms and genres and have a long history as a fan of games, comics, movies and technology. Good attitude and a desire to learn.
