What you'll be doing

Analyzes data related to the risk being underwritten for smaller, less complex cases, in order to determine what benefits or policies, if any, can be offered and at what rates, under direct supervision. Conducts research in order to secure additional data needed to make determinations on benefits and rates. Communicates with policy owners, applicants, brokers, agencies, and/or other sources concerning underwriting decisions and procedures. Prepares proposal information and coordinates final proposal presentation, including preparation of all required exhibits. Analyze, verify, and prepare comparison statements on internal replacements, correspond with appropriate field personnel regarding the replacement activities and potential options available, and process replacement cases. Completes other projects as requested. Performs other duties as assigned by management if required.

The applicant should have experience in related field. Ability to make decisions and justify the decisions with sound and logical reasoning. Attention to detail. Creative problem-solving skills. Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude. Strong relationship building with internal and external partners. Proficient computer skills using various software packages including word-processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
