What you'll be doing

Assist new employees as directed. Keep current on all new policies/procedures. Accurately process patient care orders. Perform chart audits. Assist in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve them. Participate in the process improvement activities within the department/hospital. Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers. Demonstrate acceptable organizational skills. Communicate effectively. Interaction include consideration for age specific needs. Take action to reduce/eliminate patient risks. Act as a resource/instructor for unit secretary skills. Serve as a patient advocate. Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements. Communicate per department expectations. Use clinical practice model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines. Actively participate in informal training, development and evaluation of multidisciplinary team members.

What your background should be

Previous clerical and acute care hospital experience strongly preferred. BCLS and CPI within 60 days of hire. Protects and insures all unit equipment is in good working condition and accounted for.

High school diploma
